Introductory eLearning Courses

Our eLearning courses are easy to work though and in bite-sized modules. They are interactive, providing knowledge illustrations, videos and teasing questions throughout. They provide an excellent primer before live training courses or before PM individual or team coaching

Currently there are three eLearning courses offered - see below. If you click on a course you will see a list of course modules and further description. You will need to be a PIPMG member to access courses, and each one requires payment of a small fee. If not a member, use the registration link at the top of the page and then return to this area.

For your organisation you can obtain access for a group of staff. Contact us and we will arrange for you!

Project Management in the life science sector

It is often said that project management works differently in BioPharma than in other sectors of industry. This course gives an introduction to the scope of projects, the maturity of practice, the typical project culture and the common challenges that occur with planning, risk management and so on.

Who is this course for?
Experienced project managers seeking to move to the BioPharma sector; Investors; Consulting and Service companies that seek to supply the sector.
Introduction to Project Management

In smaller organisations, projects frequently have to be managed without any central support and guidance. There's no internal training for those asked to take on a project, little or no standardised systems or templates!

Who is this course for?
Scientists / Technical people in BioPharma or smaller service companies, experienced in specialist work but asked to 'take on' a project for the first time. Also, people who will be asked to work in cross-function project teams where the company has very little mature practice and will be exposed to project disciplines for the first time.
Making an Impact as a Cross Functional Leader

Project Managers typically need to lead teams without having direct authority over team members. They are accountable for project progress, but need to use their personal skills to drive performance and build commitments across the business.

Who is this course for?
Project Managers who wish to review their own style and approach, as well as picking up tips for engaging team members; people who wish to think how to build their careers, especially in organisations without central project academies and PMO support.
