Information for session Moderators

Thanks in advance for your interest!

'Let's Talk' sessions are designed principally to enable people to chat, share experiences, challenges around a particular theme. The Moderator's job is:

  • To encourage people to share, and facilitate the discussion

  • Suggest sub themes to keep the discussion flowing if necessary

  • At some points, answer questions, and perhaps share some advice and a few slides

As you may have already heard, it's not a webinar and you are not expected to give a presentation.

Nevertheless, you will be paid a consideration for your help.

How it will work

Below is a graphic from our planning spreadsheet - the first thing we do is to agree a key theme around which you are confident to share experience; then we agree a catchy title for the session itself - as well as, of course, agreeing a date. (Note that the themes below are the sorts of things our members will find interesting but they are not set in stone. Do suggest! Note also that the titles illustrated are not currently booked sessions, just examples)

These sessions are a joint effort, between PIPMG and our friends at Phetairos.

Sessions will be arranged typically from 16:00 - 17:00 UK time, principally so that our US members can join in.

The sessions are free for people to attend but they have to book. Phetairos will be handling the bookings and hosting the calls. There will be a c.15-person limit. You will be introduced and then you can facilitate the session. We will promote sessions on our 'Let's Talk' main page, on LinkedIn and in our Newsletters. Phetairos will also promote it.

We encourage people to share their own, sometimes negative experiences in their own organisations, so the sessions will not be recorded. However, we will summarise the non-confidential conclusions, in short articles on our knowledge centre.
