The type of session that most quickly develops leader and team performance, is an in-company, facilitated opportunity to discuss real work.

This type of session is always customised. However, there are some themes around which we have worked - shown below.

Developing a Project Team

 

Benefits and Summary of Content

This is a session/meeting with a full project team, with an experienced facilitator. There are several variants which we have helped with in the past:

​

  • Building the Team's system capability - this might include meetings practice, planning, risk management, metrics, lessons learned. it would be a health check and an action planning session.

​

  • Establishing the Project Manager's role and relationships with the Team - some of the most powerful insights come with a facilitated session clarifying expectations and sharing feedback. Both the PM and the Team will benefit from this.

 
Format and duration

It will typically be a one-day session, face to face. It is not optimal to transfer this to an online format, but it can be done.

This is fundamental to our work, and these sorts of interventions / sessions can address the all-too-common problems that we have with cross-function collaboration, governance and decision-making.

To note, PIPMG is probably not aiming at Big Pharma or international CDMOs; but ideally for small/medium organisations we can make a real difference (and we have)! A cost-effective program would include the following elements: â€‹â€‹
